MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) - A Neenah man was arrested on New Year's Day for his 9th OWI.

Police were called around 3 a.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of Broad Street in Menasha for a vehicle that drove onto a snow bank.

The 42-year-old driver tried to run away, but was caught after a short chase.

Police say the driver was intoxicated and was brought to the hospital for a blood test.

He was then booked into the Winnebago County Jail.

Charges of 9th offense OWI, resisting an officer and harassment of police animals have been referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office.
