MADISON (WRN) Four finalists have been selected as the next UW Madison Chancellor. They are Acting U.S. Secretary of Commerce Dr. Rebecca Black, Dr. Nicholas Jones from The Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Michael Schill from the University of Chicago Law School, and Dr. Kim Wilcox from Michigan State.
University spokesman David Giroux with the UW System says the four candidates will participate in a series of public forums between March 5th and March 13th.
Giroux says goal is to have a candidate selected and in place to succeed acting chancellor David Ward by this summer. Ward has served as interim chancellor since July of 2011, after Biddy Martin left for a position at Amhurst College.
