MAGNOLIA, WI (WTAQ) - A man was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash near Evansville in far southern Wisconsin.
Rock County authorities said the man’s vehicle drove off the right shoulder while on a curve. He tried to get back onto the road when he veered into the opposite lane and hit an oncoming vehicle.
It happened early Wednesday morning on Highway 59, just east of Highway 104 in the town of Magnolia.
The man’s passenger was flown to a Madison hospital, and the other driver was taken to a Janesville hospital.
Both had serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victims’ names were not immediately released.
Highway 59 was closed for about five hours for clean-up and investigation.
