STEVENS POINT, WI (WTAQ) - About 40 people will start meeting on Saturday, to help the state DNR set management goals for trout fishing on Wisconsin’s inland waters.
The DNR’s new Citizen Trout Management Task Force will hold its first meeting at UW-Stevens Point, and the public is invited.
The members are from the state’s Conservation Congress, other conservation groups, and businesses which have interests in trout fishing.
The group will meet two or three times early this year, and will help set management goals based on surveys of anglers and comments at public hearings.
