MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Former National League MVP outfielder Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers has been linked to performance enhancing drugs again.
Yahoo! Sports reported Tuesday that Braun's name was included among records of Biogenesis, the Miami-area clinic run by Anthony Bosch alledged to have distributed PED's to several big league players like Alex Rodriguez and Melky Cabrera.
Major League baseball will investigate the link tto Braun who tested positive for illegal synthetic testosterone during the 2011 postseason. Braun appealed that test result and had the case, and a 50 game suspension overturned.
Braun quickly issued a statement Tuesday declaring, "I have nothing to hide." Braun said Bosch and Bigenesis were used by his legal team as consultants for research during his appeals process and there was a dispute over legal fees.
His name showed up on a ledger for "money owed" and not in connection with any performance enhancing drugs. Braun said he will cooperate fully with the inquiry.
