Brewers hold off Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers are starting to enjoy this spoiler thing.  After taking two out of three in Cincinnati, the Crew opened a series against the Pirates at PNC Park in Pittsburgh Tuesday night and won 7-6.   The Brewers got a big game from Aramis Ramirez who went four for five with four runs batted in and the 350th home run of his career.   Milwaukee built a 5-0 lead but the Pirates fought back, chasing Kyle Lohse with a four run fifth inning.   The Brewers moved back in front only to have Pedro Alvarez his his 32nd homer of the season in the 7th to tie the game again.  Caleb Gindl produced a run scoring sacrifice fly in the 8th for the final margin.  Rob Wooten (3-0) got the win in relief and Jim Henderson gave up a pair of baserunners in the 9th but earned his 22nd save. The Pirates now trail St. Louis by a game and a half as the Cardinals defeated the Reds 6-1.  Milwaukee will send Tom Gorzelany to the mound against Charlie Morton in game two of the series.   Pre-Game coverage begins at 5:30 PM on WTAQ.
