HAM LAKE, Minn. (WSAU) - A man from Ham Lake Minnesota has been confirmed as the winner of one-third of the big Powerball jackpot. Paul White bought two tickets, and one of them matched all six numbers for yesterday’s $448-million prize. There were two other winning tickets, both from New Jersey, so White will get about $147.8-million, or less if he takes the cash option.
White used to live in Rhinelander. He is presently working as a project engineer in the Twin Cities area. He didn’t say if he will continue working after the big payday.
He learned he had the winning ticket Thursday morning when his “significant other” called to tell him there was a Minnesota winner, and he checked his tickets.
