MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) - Menasha police have given six citations to an Appleton man that they say crashed his car during a street race.
On Thursday, police spent much of the day looking for the driver after finding a wrecked vehicle Wednesday night in the 100 block of Water Street. 19-year-old Gerardo Aguilar turned himself in on Thursday afternoon. Police say Aguilar wasn't seriously hurt and was cooperative.
Police say they cited Aguilar for hit-and-run, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating without insurance, operation after suspension, racing on a highway and reckless driving.
Police also say they have identified a second driver in the case as an 18-year-old Menasha man. They expect to give him similar tickets.
