GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The city of Green Bay has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the EPA for redevelopment efforts along the University Avenue corridor.
It’s part of the EPA grant program called Brownfield Area-Wide Planning.
The money will help fund strategic planning to redevelop abandoned properties or areas that are hindered by a hazardous substance, pollutants or contaminants.
For example, a brownfield project might inlcude the redevlopment of a former gas station that housed underground tanks.
The project area is around the soon to open Veteran Affairs Outpatient Green Bay clinic.
