MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker's office says a list of changes in his budget plan will be forwarded to members of the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee in the next 7-to-10 days.
Among the changes the governor wants is an enforced is a tuition freeze for students in the University of Wisconsin System. That part of the budget revision comes in reaction to reports the UW system has almost $650 million in reserves.
System President Kevin Reilly has requested a two percent tuition increase.
Walker says he doesn't want to reduce university funding, but he would like to see tuition frozen.
