STEVENS POINT, WI (WTAQ) - Six hours of negotiations couldn’t get the job done.
The Stevens Point Area Public School Board has failed to select its president. Three members got votes, but after the board was polled 25 times, no candidate had received the five votes needed to win the position.
Board members were questioned Monday for their inability to select a leader.
The members have considered delaying that vote 30 days.
One of the three candidates, Renae Sheibley, was chosen as vice president. She had stepped down from the position earlier, saying she wanted to be president – and she says she may do that again.
