The Milwaukee Brewers completed a three game sweep of the World Series champion San Francisco Giants Thursday afternoon, 7-2 at Miller Park. Two days removed from his drunk driving arrest, Yovani Gallardo pitched six solid innings, allowing a run on five hits and he helped himself with a two run home run in the second. Ryan Braun went deep with a man aboard in the first and Jonathan Lucroy belted a two run shot as Milwaukee scored all 7 runs in the first three innings against Matt Cain. it was Milwaukee's fourth straight win. They continue the homestand against the Chicaco Cubs this weekend.
The Brewers sent Mike Fiers to Triple A Nashville on Thursday and re-signed Francisco Rodriguez. K-Rod was signed to a minor league contract. The Brewers will have 30 days to bring the veteran relief pitcher up to the major leagues or release him.
