The Colorado Rockies handed the Brewers their first loss of the season 8-4 on Tuesday night at Miller Park. The game started fine, Ryan Braun hit his first home run of the season and starting pitcher Marco Estrada helped himself with an RBI single. Milwaukee led 4-2 after three innings but Estrada left after five innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs with 8 strikeouts. The Rockies got home runs for the second straight game from Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez. Colorado broke the game open with a three run 7th against losing pitcher Michael Gonzalez. The rally included a pair of bunts and a broken bat single that nearly impaled Alex Gonzalez with a piece of the bat. The Brewers were held to just four hits after the third inning. They will send Wily Peralta to the mound in the rubber game of the season opening series Wednesday night.
