ARGYLE, WI (WTAQ) - A 27-year-old man has died from injuries suffered in a weekend fight in Argyle.
And a brother-in-law of Argyle’s police chief is facing charges in the incident.
Authorities said Aaron Saalsaa was seriously hurt around 3 a.m. Sunday outside a home on Argyle’s Broad Street.
Lafayette County sheriff’s deputies said Monday night that Saalsaa died at a Madison hospital where he was getting treatment.
Officials said 29-year-old Danial Saalsaa was involved in the fight, and he’s being held in jail. Danial’s sister-in-law, Argyle Police Chief Hayley Saalsaa, was called to the fight scene by family members.
Police in nearby Monroe are investigating the incident, to avoid a conflict of interest.
