GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A study conducted by a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay suggests the state’s casino market is saturated.
Professor Daniel Alesch says his research shows adding new casinos would not benefit the state.
The study was done for the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute.
It is being released as the application by the Menominee tribe for an off-reservation casino in Kenosha is entering the final stages of a review by the U.S. Department of Interior.
Another application by the Ho-Chuck Tribe for an off-reservation casino in Beloit is just starting.
