It's the final week of the Major League Baseball season and yes, the Milwaukee Brewers still have a shot at the playoffs. Behind three long balls and a great outing from Shaun Marcum, with a little help from the Houston Astros, the Brewers are three and a half games behind the St. Louis Cardinals for the final Wild Card spot with seven games to play. The Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 8-1 at the Great American Ballpark Wednesday night. Nori Aoki, Jonathan Lucroy and Ryan Braun all hit home runs, for Braun it was his National League leading 41st of the year. Marcum gave up an RBI double to Joey Votto in the first inning but clamped down from there. He picked up his sixth win of the year by working six innings, allowing only that one run on four hits while striking out 7. The Astros helped by shutting out St. Louis 2-0. The Brewers reached the 80 victory mark and finish their road schedule Thursday afternoon sending Willy Peralta against Mat Latos in the Cincinnati series finale.
