SPRING VALLEY, WI (WTAQ) - One person was killed, and another was seriously hurt in a one car crash near Orfordville in south central Wisconsin.
Rock County authorities said 26-year-old Douglas Axelson of Brodhead died at the scene, and a 32-year-old Brodhead woman was in critical but stable condition at last word at a hospital in Rockford Illinois.
Officers said the car rolled over around 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 213 in the Rock County town of Spring Valley. The crash remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, authorities in Iowa County said alcohol appeared to be a factor in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday that killed a teenager from Dodgeville.
17-year-old Wyatt Cargill died at the scene. Authorities said Cargill was a passenger in a vehicle that veered into a ditch, hit a driveway, went airborne, and rolled over.
Three other people, including the 22-year-old driver from Lone Rock, were taken to a Dodgeville hospital.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday near Dodgeville on Highway 23.
