SEATTLE (WTAQ) - In a game marred by the continued problems surrounding replacement officials, the Green Bay Packers fell to the Seattle Seahawks 14-12 Monday night.

The game came down to the final 4th down play with 8 seconds left, when Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw a pass to the left corner of the end zone, which appeared to have been intercepted by Packers defensive back M.D. Jennings.

But after a discussion, the ruling on the field was that Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate had possession of the ball. Since all scoring plays are reviewed, the ruling was confirmed by the replay officials upstairs.

Both teams combined for 24 penalties for 245 yards.

The Packers (1-2) took the lead in the 4th quarter on a Cedric Benson 1 yard touchdown run. A two-point conversion failed.

Seattle (2-1) sacked Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers 8 times in the first half alone, as the green and gold had trouble with protecting number 12. Rodgers finished the game 26-of-39 for 223 yards.

Wilson, the rookie from Wisconsin, finished 10-of-21 for 130 yards and 2 touchdown passes.
