The Green Bay Gamblers had to play shorthanded against the Indiana Ice Wednesday night at the Resch Center, falling 5-3. Green Bay was without four players who were suspended after the game last Saturday night in Cedar Rapids got out of hand. There were 213 penalty minutes whistled in the Gamblers' 8-7 shootout victory. With a short bench, coach Derek LaLonde watched his team give up four goals in the first period. LaLonde pulled starting goalie Mike Rotolo in favor of Richard Sabol who promptly gave up a goal early in the second period. Matthew Weis, Kevin Irwin and Alex Kile scored for Green Bay (1-4-2). The Gamblers have a home and home series with Dubuque this weekend, playing in Iowa Friday night before returning to the Resch Center Saturday night at 7:05 PM.
