UNDATED, WI (WTAQ) - A new poll shows Wisconsin’s U-S Senate race is a statistical dead heat, but Democrat Tammy Baldwin has a slight edge.
Rasmussen Reports surveyed 500 likely voters – and for the first time in the poll, House Democrat Baldwin exceeded 50%.
Baldwin leads Republican hopeful Tommy Thompson 51-to-47% – but the four-point difference is within the poll’s four-and-a-half percent margin of error.
Two-percent remain undecided, and one-percent preferred somebody else.
The survey was taken on Tuesday.
Other recent independent polls give Baldwin a 3-to-4-point lead, with a couple being within their margins of error.
