MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - President Obama still holds an edge among Wisconsin voters who were polled, but the margin is shrinking.

A Marquette University Law School poll released last week showed Obama 11 points ahead of Mitt Romney among Wisconsin voters.

A Public Policy poll released Saturday puts the margin at two percent, 49-to-47. Public Policy says the survey was taken Thursday through Saturday, involving 979 likely Wisconsin voters.

Two weeks ago, the same poll put Obama’s margin at seven percent.

Poll takers say his performance in Wednesday’s debate helped Romney a lot. Sixty-one percent of those contacted thought Romney won the debate. Only 25 percent gave the edge to Obama.
