MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - Milwaukee authorities say a babysitter may have left food unattended on a stove, starting a house fire that left a six year old boy dead.

The babysitter and three other children managed to get out safely.

The fire apparently started in one house and jumped to a nearby house as well. Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 3:15 a.m. Saturday.

The boy’s body was found on the second floor.

The cause of the fire is said to be still under investigation.
