MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - Cheese lovers came from as far away as Minneapolis to sample 40 year old cheddar cheese Saturday at a tasting held at Wisconsin Cheese Mart in Milwaukee.

The store’s owner had bought 10 pounds from Z’s Cheese Shoppe in Oconto.

The owner of Z’s, Edward Zahn, found the cheese in a walk-in cooler earlier this year.

Zahn says it had been overlooked – unintentionally – for years. McNulty was selling the aged cheese for $10 an ounce and says he was sold out in the first half hour.
