MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Dane County District Judge Juan Colas says the state is to blame for the current delay on action involving Wisconsin’s collective bargaining law. Colas ruled the law unconstitutional last month, which restored collective bargaining rights for most public workers. The state is seeking an injunction.
Colas gave those challenging the law until next Tuesday to file more arguments.
Colas made that ruling Friday. He says this is going to delay his action on the state’s request that he put his original decision on hold while appeals are carried out.
The judge agreed Friday with arguments offered by the Madison teachers union and Milwaukee city employees union when they said they should be allow to respond to the state’s arguments.
