After suffering a buzzer beating loss to Butler in the opening round of the Maui Invitational, Marquette rebounded with a strong effort in routing Mississippi State Tuesday 89-62.  The Golden Eagles (3-1) never trailed and seized control with the Bulldogs committing 15 first half turnovers.  Vander Blue led Marquette with 18 points and Davante Gardner pitched in with a double-double, scoring 15 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.   Marquette will play one more game on the island for 5th place in the tournament.
