Unreleased 'Dark Knight Rises' Posters: You Have Our Permission to Geek Out

By Christian Blauvelt, Hollywood.com Staff

Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is over... but that doesn't mean fans of the films are close to being done with his darker treatment of the DC comics icon. Nor are the people who helped produce and market them. The advertising company Trailer Park has released three character one-sheets that went unused by Warner Bros. while marketing The Dark Knight Rises. They're minimalist, graffiti-like treatments of Batman and Bane that seem perfect for the final film's topical take on financial collapse, urban unrest, and populist rebellion. Check 'em out:

Not gonna lie, Bane seems scarier in this one than he ever does in the film.

Bane sees that little orphan kid's chalk-art bat and raises him a terrifying sketch of his own.

What do you guys think? Does this make you excited for the DVD/Blu-ray release of The Dark Knight Rises on December 4? Or have we finally OD'd on all this brooding and now long instead for a more light-hearted approach to the character?
