GREENLEAF, WI (WTAQ) - Greenleaf Fire Department officials say a man is okay after he drove his vehicle into the Fox River early Saturday.

Authorities say it happened at the intersection of County Road ZZ and Wrightstown Road around 1 a.m.

The man apparently fell asleep at the wheel and drove into the water. He ended up in about 7-and-a-half feet of water about 25 feet from shore.

Officials say he was able to get out and stand on the roof of his vehicle. He was stuck there for about 3 hours, yelling at passing cars for help.

The Greenleaf Fire Department rescued the man by boat and say he was not seriously injured.
