GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Plans for a several new riverfront apartment complexes in downtown Green Bay were approved Tuesday by the Green Bay Redevelopment Authority.
T. Wall Enterprises based in Madison is looking at a long vacant site along South Broadway, just north of the Mason Street Bridge.
Plans call for 300 to 350 apartments that would be built in phases.
The same site was chosen by the Green Bay Bullfrogs for a potential new stadium, but nothing came to fruition.
The developer hopes to break ground by next summer.
A developer is also planning on converting the old South Broadway vegetable canning factories along the river into apartments with a market and retail space.
But the developer of the Larsen Green property could not get approved for housing credits through the state. They are still looking at other options.
