The St. Norbert Green Knights are headed to the Division III football playoffs for the 10th time in school history and the 9th time in 14 years under head coach Jim Purtil after earning a share of the Midwest Conference regular season title Saturday afternoon, defeating Lake Forest 20-10. The Knights built a 17-0 lead by early in the second quarter and held on for the victory. St. Norbert finished 8-2 overall, 8-1 in the MWC, sharing the top spot with the Foresters. The Green Knights got some help from Carroll College, which routed Illinois College 49-14, preventing a three way tie for the title. That allowed St. Norbert to earn the conference's automatic bid to the playoffs. The Knights will have a tough draw, traveling to St. Paul on Saturday to take on 10-0 St. Thomas.
