ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) - Shopko has written for $25,000 check to the local American Red Cross for Super storm Sandy recovery efforts. 

Shopko presented the check Thursday morning to the northeast Wisconsin chapter and plans to make other donations to the recovery efforts around the nation. 

The Red Cross says the money will towards the disaster relief effort to supply food, water, clothing and to run shelters for east coast victims. 

Packers Defensive Back Charles Woodson donated $100,000 to Sandy relief efforts last week.
