FLORENCE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - A suburban Chicago man is scheduled to enter pleas Monday to charges that he tailed a stripper and her occasional boyfriend from Eagle River to Florence at up to 90 miles an hour, and then ran her over with his car.
70-year-old Benedict Sedivy was ordered this week to stand trial in Florence County for felony aggravated battery and two counts of felony reckless endangerment.
A preliminary hearing uncovered some new details not released before – like the fact 32-year-old Nicole Christenson had previously shared a hotel room with Sedivy, and she let him photograph her while she was nude.
Testimony indicated that on January 6th,
Sedivy told her on-again, off-again boyfriend that he videotaped the woman having sex with another man the previous night while she was drunk. And when the boyfriend got upset, Sedivy pulled out a knife and the couple fled in his car.
The chase lasted for 65 miles in parts of 3 northern Wisconsin counties.
When they got to Florence, the couple’s car spun out and Christenson tried to approach Sedivy – and he allegedly carried her on his hood for 150 feet before slamming on the brakes and throwing her into a ditch.
The woman and the boyfriend were treated at a hospital and later released.
