GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A pep rally is scheduled for Friday afternoon to cheer on the Packers in the playoffs.

The event will be held at 3 o'clock on Friday on the Brown County Courthouse lawn in downtown Green Bay.

Packers' president Mark Murphy will speak at the rally, along with Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt and Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach.

An announcement noted that similar pep rallies helped the Packers win the Super Bowl a year ago -- and they're expecting the same thing to happen this time.

The public rally will last for about 30 minutes.
