MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - If you have a cell phone, you might not have to pay for as many text messages for unwanted sales pitches.

The state Assembly voted 94-0 Tuesday night to add text messages to Wisconsin's popular do-not-call list for telemarketers.

The bill now goes to Governor Scott Walker for his signature.

More than 2.3 million phone numbers are on the state's no-call list -- and over half those are cell phones.

Charities and political candidates are exempt from the no-call law, along with companies you've done business with.
