DETROIT (WKZO) -- A federal judge has temporarily halted attempts by the government to seize Michigan Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway's Florida home.
On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Marianne Battani ordered a 90-day stay in the government's attempt to seize the Orlando home. The delay is a possible sign that Hathaway is considering a deal in the case.
Last month, Hathaway and her husband were accused of committing bank fraud by hiding assets to avoid 600-thousand dollars in mortgage debt on a 1.5-million dollar Grosse Pointe Park home.
