Foggier than expected conditions for Wisconsin Monday

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - It’s foggier than expected in Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service says parts of eastern Wisconsin could see fog all day.

Officially, a dense fog advisory continues until noon for the eastern half of the Badger State. And counties along Lake Michigan from Sheboygan southward are under a dense fog advisory until 4 p.m. Monday.

Officials say the heavy fog is caused by a moist air flow that’s moving northward over cold ground.

Once the fog leaves, warmer temperatures are predicted for the rest of the day – with record highs in the 60’s in parts of the south.

There’s also a chance of thunderstorms into the evening. And when it all goes east, it will clearer – and much colder. Highs Tuesday are only expected to be in the 30’s.
