Brewers rookie Mike Fiers has been so good for so long, it was bound to happen. One start after throwing six perfect innings, the right hander was far from perfect against the Colorado Rockies Monday night, surrenduring 8 runs on 9 hits in just two plus innings as Colorado rolled the Crew 9-6 at Coors Field. The Rockies plated three runs in the first, another in the second and rattled off 6 consecutive hits in a four run third inning. Fiers gave up four of those before getting the hook. He falls to 6-5 with his earned run average climbing to a still solid 2.63. Jeff Francis got the win with help from D.J. LaMahiue who went four for four. Carlos Gomez hit a two run homer in the sixth inning and Rickie Weeks tagged a three run shot in the 9th for the Brewers (52-62). Randy Wolf will be on the mound in game two of the series in Denver Tuesday night.
