GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker's office has named Tammy Jo Hock of Green Bay as a Brown County Circuit Court judge.
The announcement came on Thursday.
Hock replaces Branch 3 Judge Sue Bischel, who retired back in February.
Hock graduated from Marquette University in 1986 with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Law Studies. In 1990, she received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Hock had more than 15 years of law experience before she became an Assistant United States Attorney in 2006. She also served 6 years as an assistant district attorney in Brown County.
Hock is very active in the community. She volunteers regularly at Holy Family School and serves as a Girl Scout leader.
