ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) - There was a fatal traffic accident in the area last night. Killed in the single vehicle wreck was an Angola woman. The LaGrange County, Indiana Sheriffs Department identified the victim as 60-year old Brenda Whitcomb. Deputies say she crashed into the water at the Big Turkey Lake public access site. 9-1-1 got a call about the accident around 9:45 last night. Dive team members removed Whitcomb from the lake but resuscitation efforts failed and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
