NEW LONDON, Wis. (WTAQ) - The suspect in the 2007 murder of a New London man is formally charged Tuesday.
Chad Magolski is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in Waupaca County court.
According to a criminal complaint, the 35-year-old Magolski had a confrontation with 77-year-old James Park Jr., who lived downstairs in an apartment complex.
Magolski allegedly stabbed Park to death and stole money later used to pay his overdue rent.
Cash bail was set at $1 million. The preliminary hearing is set for June 30 and will be conducted by Judge John Hoffmann.
