GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC News) - A one-year prison sentence, along with five years probation, was handed down yesterday to Bernard Chapman Farmer, a 34-year-old Park Township man who pleaded guilty last month to sexual assault charges stemming from an attack of a 15-year-old girl last July. An acquaintance of the victim’s family, Farmer was stabbed by the girl’s father after the incident; that father has already served a three-month jail sentence.
