Misunderstanding Leads to Spring Lake Crash

SPRING LAKE TWP., MI (WHTC News) - A misunderstanding about turning led to two minivans colliding in Spring Lake Township last night. Authorities say that 54-year-old Denora Karrell thought that 19-year-old Felisha Shatney was turning right from 148^th Avenue into Quebec Drive and tried to go around her, but Shatney was turning left instead. A house, a motorcycle and a utility pole were hit by the careening minivans. Both women suffered minor injuries.
