MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Milwaukee prosecutors say there’s no reason to hold up an auction of the luxury items Sue Sachdeva bought with the $34 million she stole.
Federal Judge Lynn Adelman was asked today to approve a forfeiture order against the former Koss Corporation vice president, so the auction can take place.
The proceeds will go to the company to help make up for the stolen cash. Sachdeva has already agreed to forfeit a long list of items that include jewelry, expensive clothes, shoes, furniture, and art work.
The prosecution also wants to seize Sachdeva’s 2007 Mercedes-Benz. She’ll still be able to keep her $800,000 home in Mequon – but prosecutors want to take equity she has in it.
Sachdeva has pleaded guilty to the embezzlement at Koss, which makes stereo headphones. She’s scheduled to be sentenced in mid-November.
