LITTLE SUAMICO, Wis. (WTAQ) - State game wardens are trying to find out why a half-dozen headless bucks turned up in northeast Wisconsin in the last couple weeks.

DNR warden Mike Stahl said the bucks had various degrees of decay, so officials are not sure how all of them died – but at least two of them were shot.

Four of the 6 headless deer were found near Abrams and Little Suamico in Oconto County. Another was discovered in the Oconto County town of Spruce. And the 6th one was found in neighboring Marinette County.
