GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A Green Bay man who spent the last 14 years in prison is now free.

Cody Vandenberg was released Tuesday on a $35,000 signature bond and ordered to stay at his son's house. He was convicted in the 1995 armed robbery and attempted homicide of Blake Renard. Vandenberg says his freedom hasn't sunk in yet.

"It hadn't dawned on me yet," Vandenberg told FOX 11. "I don't think it really has yet to this point."

An appeals court ruled in his favor and granted him a new trial after another man admitted to the crime. Vandenberg is due back in court September 28.
