Charles Woodson will have to wait to put on his uniform until two days before Christmas at the earliest.   Head Coach Mike McCarthy said the team's medical staff has ruled Woodson out of Sunday's showdown with the Chicago Bears.  Out six weeks with a broken collarbone, Woodson has been practicing for a couple of weeks but the doctors believe the bone itself hasn't healed sufficiently to warrant getting back on the field.  McCarthy said after practice today that Woodson is feeling frustrated, understandably so.  The team got better news on Clay Matthews, he practiced on a limited basis and in speaking with Clay this afternoon, he expects to make his return for the first time since pulling his hamstring against the Arizona Cardinals in early November.  McCarthy also said Jordy Nelson appears to be a longshot with his hamstring injury, suffered in the first quarter against the Vikings.  James Starks won't be available with his knee injury and C.J. Wilson likely won't return from a knee injury either.  Mike Neal was a surprise participant with his shoulder injury but to protect themselves from not having to dress only four defensive linemen, the Packers activated Jordan Miller, a defensive tackle off the practice squad and waived linebacker Vic So'oto on Tuesday.  Davon House was the only other player who didn't practice Wednesday as he stayed home ill.

Aaron Rodgers celebrated Aaron Rodgers Day in Wisconsin, 12/12/12.  The idea came from a Stevens Point woman who enlisted support on facebook and it led to an official declaration from Governor Scott Walker.   Rodgers said he had fun with it, thanking kids who wore his jersey to school, thanking Kohl's for getting involved in raising money for the MACC Fund, his charity of choice.  Players gave Rodgers a round of applause at the team meeting.

Bear week is heating up fast after Chicago wide receiver Brandon Marshall went off with the media in Lake Forest on Wednesday.  He ripped into the Green Bay secondary players who talked about shuting him down at Lambeau Field.  Marshall had two catches for 24 yards in the Pack's 23-10 victory in September.   Brandon said it was Dom Capers and his double and triple coverage scheme, not the Packer defensive backs that shut him down.  He called the talk a slap in the face, he chided the Packer DB's for not being physical at all and dared to see man to man press coverage Sunday.
