The playoffs started two weeks early for the Packers and they put themselves in position to grab a spot in the post-season dance by routing the New York Giants 45-17 before a raucus crowd of 70,649 at Lambeau Field today.  The sheer domination of the performance went well beyond the score as the Packers piled up 515 yards of offense against the league's second best defense, controlling the clock for 37 minutes and the defense yielded two long touchdowns but recovered with a half dozen takeways, 4 interceptions of Eli Manning and two fumble recoveries.  In his first game back after missing the New England contest with a concussion, Aaron Rodgers played his finest game yet, a career high 404 yards passing and 4 touchdowns including an 80 yard bomb to Jordy Nelson to open the scoring in the first quarter.   Following a Tramon Williams interception, his career best 6th of the year, James Jones caught a three yard TD pass to make it 14-0 after one quarter.  New York answered with Hakeen Nicks catching a 36 yard touchdown after Charles Woodson fell down in coverage.  After Nelson fumbled at the Giant 15, Manning needed only one play to tie the contest.  Mario Manningham beat Tramon Williams who lost flight of the ball at midfield and let Manningham loose for an 85 yard score.  The Packers answered quickly with John Kuhn smashing in from 8 yards out to put the Packers up 7 at the half.   After intermission, it was all Green Bay after the two sides traded field goals, Donald Lee and Kuhn caught short TD's and Kuhn finished the scoring to the delight of the Lambeau crowd chanting "Koooooon" with a 1 yard plunge.  The Packer defense held Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs in check and forced Manning to win in the air and he couldn't do it, throwing picks to end three straight posessions in the 4th quarter.  The victory improves the Pack to 9-6 and sets up the win and get in showdown with the Chicago Bears next Sunday at Lambeau.  Here's what was said in the locker room after the victory.
