You won't have to wait until January 8 for the NFL playoffs, they start Sunday at Lambeau Field.   The 8-6 Packers need to win their final 2 games at home to earn a spot in the post-season, the 9-5 New York Giants will clinch with a victory at Lambeau in the 3:15 PM kickof.  The stakes are "Giants" sized for both teams.   The Packers are buoyed by the return of Aaron Rodgers after his second concussion of the season forced him to miss his first game since becomming the starting quarterback in 2008. Green Bay leads the all-time series 25-21-2 with victories in 4 of the past five meetings.  That lone loss was a bitter one, literally and figuratively, the 23-20 overtime loss in the 2007 NFC Championship game.  Both teams come in highly ranked on defense, the Packers are third in yards allowed per game and share the top spot with Pittsburgh in points allowed per game.   The Giants rank second in total yards, second in passing yards allowed and their 42 sacks rank behind only San Diego.  The Giants like to pound the ball between Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs who have combined for 1909 yards on the ground, 600 more than the Packers have as a team.   Green Bay prefers to move the ball through the air but it won't be easy against a ferociously deep New York pass rush.  The atmosphere should be electric under the lights.   Click on the box below to hear what the coaches and players are saying about the matchup.
