(METRO/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers lost 8-5 in 10 innings to the Pittsburg Pirates at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser was cruising along with a no-hitter in the seventh inning when Brewers manager Craig Counsell decided to pull him.
Counsell explained why.
Houser didn’t question the decision to pull him but …
Counsell then turned to the bullpen which did not do what it was supposed to do.
But Daniel Norris and John Curtiss combined to let 5 runs score to tie the game.
Pittsburgh then added 3 runs in the 10th off Blaine Hardy for the win.
The Brewers had 9 hits with Avisail Garcia had 3 hits and drove in 3 runs, Willy Adames had 3 hits and scored 3 runs and Omar Narvaez had 2 hits and scored twice.
