Football On Your Phone?

There’s a direct association between celebrity sponsorship and the cost of whatever item said celebrity is representing.  It’s simple math – the company needs to come up with the cash to pay out…that’s where we, the consumers, come in (generally speaking). 

I don’t have DIRECTV, but I’m guessing (like my Time Warner Cable bill since Bill Cowher came on board) that subscribers have noticed an incremental, seemingly unexplained rise in their monthly charges over the past few years.  I get that stuff costs more…basic inflation…but I’d wager that the Manning brothers don’t come cheaply.  That being said, if I did subscribe to DIRECTV, I think I’d be OK with that one.  Those dudes churn out some brilliant campaigns:
