NFL Sunday Big Batch Chili

by David Louis

NFL Chili, as in "Not For Long" Chili. I was making a batch on Saturday and realized I haven't blogged most of the stuff I make for my family. This is a fun one and it frees up the weekend for football!

2 lbs Ground round or lean ground chuck (or venison)

One large onion chopped

4 large stalks celery chopped

Two 46 oz. cans Campbell Tomato Juice

2 cans Chili Hot Beans

4 cans dark red kidney beans

One can green chilis (chopped)

2 pkg. McCormick Original Chili seasoning packs

Chili Powder and Ground Cumin to tastee

One pkg. macaroni noodles (I think it's a Wisconsin thing & I'm not one to argue)

Find a big ol' pot and brown the Ground Round. Drain any grease and add the chopped onions and celery.

Add everything else and bring to a boil.

Add noodles (if you're from Wisconsin) and bring heat to simmer. Slow cook a couple hours and remove from heat. It'll take some time for that big pot to cool down.

Great with beer

... Gas X :-)
